Interesting article
This is an interesting article: BYU Religious Studies Center › What the Book of Mormon Tells Us about Jesus Christ by Robert J. Matthews (this is chapter 2 in his book, The Book of Mormon: The Keystone Scripture, ed. Paul R. Cheesman [Provo, UT: Religious Studies Center, Brigham Young University, 1988], 21–43.) — Joey 16:19, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

1Ne 13:41–42
1Ne 13:41–42 — in verse 42, does God "manifesting himself" mean visiting personally as in the incarnation? If so, these verses teach that Jesus is God. — Joey 19:28, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
Quora question
By the way, I floated this out on Quora: In particular, which passages of the Book of Mormon teach that Jesus Christ is the “Eternal God”? — Joey 14:54, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
Saved for later
Less explicit passages?
2Ne 6; 2Ne 9; Alma 19:29
These seem to state that Jesus is God either explicitly or implicitly, but it wasn't clear enough to me on my first pass. Need to re-read and parse them carefully. — Joey 18:30, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
Putting here for lack of a better place
First mention of Jesus Christ in first edition Book of Mormon was 1Ne 12:18. — Joey 06:34, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
Chapters that don’t mention God or Christ
I’ve noticed the following chapters in the Book of Mormon that do not mention God or Christ at all (this is not exhaustive, yet, I may have missed some earlier ones, and am not finished reading the whole Book of Mormon):
- Alma 59
- Helaman 1
- Helaman 2

3 Nephi 7:21
Does 3Ne 7:21 teach that Jesus is God? — Joey 00:20, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
3 Nephi 12:48
It’s interesting to me that when Christ delivers the sermon on the mount to the Nephites, he states Mt 5:48 differently at 1Ne 12:48. In the Book of Mormon is he equating himself with the Father here? The grammatical construction makes this vague at best. — Joey 05:09, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
